How come? I take it you have the chassis?

Jamie Ray yeah weena bought the '64 as it was when Jamie had it (fuchs, green with cream side etc) but the body was too rotten to salvage, so weena kept the chassis and bought a rust free oval shell for it!

That's nuts! To think that 6 foe was a show car once..

It as a in need of resto.. from west wales back in about 92/3

yeah from what i know about the 64 jamie built it and won a shit load of shows in it

then sold it - it bounced around a few owners and had new engines and what not

i bought it from a friend - after a year of daily driving it needed a full restoration - when i stripped it for painting i found a lot more rust that expected - alot of bodged repairs and the thing that stopped me was taking out the rear window complete with the metal that surrounded it

i managed to pick up a rust free - media blasted and primed oval shell for 400 quid which needed very little work so opted for that

shame i didnt get another 64 shell but the ones that were around at the time were in more orless the same shape and the oval body was such a bargain i had to have it

i love seeing old pictures of it - makes me a little sad as it was such a nice car with loads of history never know i might re-chassis the oval when im loaded and rebuild the 64 chassis again

car is now on hold - my place of work went into liquidation yesterday so everything has to stop

thanks the grayson i picked up some better tyres last night

the slam tyres are coming off and some michelin ZX 135 r15 tyres are going on up front

and when the 205 70s out back are totally ruined ill be putting on a pair of 185 r15 michelins

should make the car stand a lot nicer and it wont have to be as low on the front as the tyres are taller and will give the impression of the lowness

re fitted my wheels - rebuilt the front brakes while is was at it

this only needs a few more days work and it will be road going

plumbed all the hardlines in today and fingers crossed it will be out for big bang
