| It was one of them days where I thought I would do a little body work on Glenda. Wish i hadn't started! Here is a before During And then this poped out!! Shit loads of filler I think she had a knock a long time ago as there is Orange, blue then red paint over it (underneath was an off white which I assume was her original colour? Then this hole/large dent must of ben one hard hit And as funds are low i might leave this as a battle scar, but will paint over it! So anyone breaking a late bay let me know. i need a few bits & bobs | |

| Which one? Baywindow is sat in his lovely dry garage, waiting for me to throw about 4k at him In the mean time, my new T25 is nearly running, and the beetle's still too low to drive | |

| Right i couldn't leave Glenda in this way so i sorted out the "ouch " bit bascially i had to re-fil the panel, but not where the vent is. I want to leave this way to show her age (and it's a twat of a panel to fit ) The only thing is because I could not get an exact colour match, I had to repaint the whole panel. For those who want to know it was painted with Plasticote Red from Halfords. It will do the job for the time being....and looks great concidering I wasn't going to paint the whole panel. You can see the difference in the Red Will tackle the rear valance next (maybe even paint the whole back? | |

| I'd put the engine and 'box in seperately dude, what's wrong with thew old engine/box? Also, swap over the fanhousing, tinware and decent dizzy cap etc from the old engine, chrome tinware and see through dizzy caps are crap | |

Also, swap over the fanhousing, tinware and decent dizzy cap etc from the old engine, chrome tinware and see through dizzy caps are crap Will change the dizzy ( I'm going to get an electronic ingintion), quite like the chrome fan housing, I will not be having heat excahngers so it will work fine as no air hose from the fan. I have the block from the old engine (as stripped it down) need to take the heads off as I'm not convinced it was a 1641. The gear box I will keep, but i'm sure it's knackard! (may keep to recondition at some point). | |

| The Dam engine had siezed!! Will post pics later. When the heads were taken off the pistons had rusted to the barrels. Decided as lack of funds, to work on the old engine (thanks to Stretch ) and replaced all the seals. Will put the engine in this weekend, fingers crossed. | |
