Here's some info on my rides

1971 Baywindow camper - owned since i was 15, bought as a shed, and restored, now needs restoring again!





it's currently off the road, as i need to totally overhaul the brakes, and a lot of the parts are one year only £££ and i need to fit an engine, cos i stole it's engine for my beetle! But it was my daily driver and only car from my 17th birthday til i was 19!

!! Now at the lock up for resto! took the dormobile roof off the other day, and found so much more rust

Anyway, around my 19th birthday, when the brakes needed 'attention' and it was gonna cost me a grand or so to get it sorted... so i figured i'd just buy a MK2 gti instead





Raced it in the VWDRC at Bug Jam 2005/6?, with weena as my crew chief! Awesome fun, ran a best of 16.5 @ 80something

But then this happened



so i stripped it for bits, sold them, got the pay out from the other guys insurance and bought this:





which had an 8v gti engine same as my black mk2 and went really well! But wasn't really for me.. a bit too much like a van!

So i sold the T25 and bought this...





off ebay for about £100

But it was rotten, so i swapped it with a mate for this:





A 16v with 12 months MOT and flakey paint, but a mint rainbow interior

But it got nicked shortly after

Then winter 2006 i was offered 'an old beetle' by a mate who was about to scrap it

So i went to see it...



No engine, no gearbox, no brakes, no steering, but fairly solid! So me and dad trailered it home, mission and a half with no rear running gear and no steering Can't say no to a free car!



And i spent a few months fitting new brakes, gearbox, engine, dropped spindles up front, lowering it out back, and sorting out the steering etc, and MOT'd it



That was July 2007, and i took it to BVF, with a clutch slipping like mad, and the starter motor stopped working half way there



I then took the front beam off and fitted a 3.5" narrowed beam... which looked ACE! But due to the adjusters being welded in in 'slam' mode by dave, added to my dropped spindles, the highest setting was an inch underground which wasn't ideal....







So i took the dropped spindles off and sold 'em, and it's now a few inches higher but the track rods foul the underside of the tank, so i need to flip the track rod ends... and the MOT's now run out and i think it needs a few bits for the MOT... so it's sat unloved up the road... someone kick me into gear so i sort it out!











next - my golf!

Bought my golf early this year, 1.6 driver, 3 door, gti interior (from my old black 8v gti) and a weber carb etc STOCK HEIGHT! and drove like a boat

Since then i've fitted chrome strip bumpers, single light chrome strip grille, delocked the passenger door handle and fitted chrome inserts, bought black carpets and rear parcel shelf supports, and more importantly, coilovers also recently lowered some more and wheels painted matt black!
